With this company I have had same day service and a polite technician with a good attitude. We did purchase the service contract giving us a discount on repairs and maintenance. On one Sat morning the unit decided not to cool. I hated to call on the weekend, but summer heat didn’t make it an option. Because I had the unit serviced on schedule, the cost was less than I expected and the tech. was there within the hour. It made the weekend much more enjoyable! Gulf Coast has done an excellent job.
I don’t typically post reviews but Gulf Coast Air Systems was exceptional, so I just have to take a minute to thank them. The salesman, Steve, was prompt, professional and answered every question I had. His quote to replace my system was clear and complete so there were no surprises whatsoever. Despite having the best competitive price they added in extras some of the others did not include. The installers were likewise prompt, very competent,, neat and friendly. The installation went smooth as silk and the system has been performing perfectly. On top of all that, my electric bill went down a bit with this efficient Carrier system. Who could ask for more?! You can bet a company that makes it look this easy works very hard to get it right for their customers. You can’t say that about so many other AC companies. I am now a Gulf Coast Air Systems customer for life!

Installation was easy and the salesman, Steve, arrived with the installers, and truly demonstrated the continuity of service.Our installation was in June and we have received two follow up calls inquiring about the satisfaction of the equipment and service. Follow up call from Gulf Coast Air Systems wanting to know if my service went well, answer was yes. Then I was asked what they could do to improve their service. It took a minute to answer that all important question. Honestly I can’t think of a thing. The technicians I have had over the years have all been very efficient, polite and helpful. When I needed service I was helped promptly. An excellent company to use for maintenance and repairs.
Both of my units were not cooling properly. Carson quickly diagnosed the problems on each unit. Unfortunately we had to wait for parts to be ordered, but he and Jay returned and did a great job of getting us cool again. Both of them, as well as any technician we’ve had in our house, have been friendly, polite and professional. I have used Gulf Coast over the last 14 years and have been very pleased!.
Kenneth did a great job servicing my AC system. He’s friendly, personable, respectful, and knowledgeable. Very pleasant experience. I don’t like that Gulf Coast charges a lot more than other companies, but I keep having them to the maintenance tune-up because they’re the ones who installed the system. but that has nothing to do with Kenneth providing outstanding service.
Your technician phoned our home prior to his visit to inform us exactly when we could expect him to arrive, which was very much appreciated, and he arrived promptly as stated .Mr. Pitt was very pleasant and such a gentleman that we wanted to forward this compliment along to you. The technician kennith was great…but i paid for an extended warranty 10 years ago and tried to get the unit repaired this week only to be told by GC that they couldnt repair it right away today because the coil was unavailable…
Hello – I recently received service from Gulf Coast Air and wanted to share my experience, which was truly outstanding! We have a Mitsubishi split system which suddenly stopped cooling. We contacted the company who had installed it years earlier, however, after several service visits they were unable to diagnose the problem and repair the unit. About a year and a half ago, Gulf Coast Air had installed a brand new Trane system for us which we were very happy with so we decided to call them about the Mitsubishi issue. Our first contact was with Shauna the receptionist/scheduler who coordinated the service visit. She was very personable and polite, leaving messages, returning calls, etc. We then had Matt as our service technician. He introduced himself, set to work, and soon after explained that a wrong part had been ordered. I expressed my concern as to how that could have happened and am sure my growing frustration showed after several rounds with the initial company (which Matt wasn’t even aware of). Matt could not have been more polite, empathetic and downright determined to fix our issue. He contacted the manufacturer, ordered and tested more parts and ultimately brought Mike to the final service visit and together they fixed our system! We could have easily spent several thousand dollars replacing this system had we not contacted Gulf Coast Air for service. Instead, we paid a very reasonable price for a repair. Thanks to all – especially Matt – for a job well done! We will call you for all of our AC needs in the future and recommend you highly!!
Always prompt and responsive, helpful from our phone calls for HELP thru service trip, and knowledgeable while solving any problems. We have been customers for 20 years and love the annual servicing agreements, too!
My wife and I were very impressed with the young technician, Luke, who did an outstanding job servicing both of our Trane air conditioners. He explained what he was doing and why, which was very informative. He made sure both ACs would continue to perform well during the upcoming extended summer season we have here in central Florida! Kudos to Luke and Gulf Coast Air!
I want to Thank Jay for his exceptional service, what should have taken him 30 minutes to service, took him an hour and a half , after recognizing that the drip line was clogged with calcium deposits, he used a hose and was able to unclogged it. I am so grateful to him , as someting so simple, could have caused my drain to overflow and back up. Jay Thanks so much for your patience, as a result I was able to make my flight the next day. I will continue to have my system serviced with Gulf Coast Air, and going forward I will take the advice on a monthly bases, never realized how important it is.
We recently had a new system installed by Donnie, Paul, and a couple of other Gulf Coast personnel. This was after an excellent consultation by Steve, who helped us determine the right system for our home. Everything about the installation was first rate. The team arrived promptly at 0830 as promised, worked steadily through the day finishing around 4:00pm, and did an outstanding job, replacing our 17 year old system with a modern Carrier system. Polite, professional, knowledgeable – just what we hoped for. We selected Gulf Coast Air based on A+ BBB ratings and a strong recommendation from a neighbor. I can now pass along a similar strong recommendation for others – Thanks Gulf Coast Air!
Arrived home after a long day and there was no AC! Because Ive always have had exceptional service from Gulf Coast and a Service Contract, I called after hrs. There was no doubt that the drip line was needing to be cleaned out. Kenneth came and with a great sense of humor and professionalism, not only fixed the problem but taught me what I could do to keep my AC system running. I called late last night, because our air went out. My husband and I are taking care of his 86 and 83 year old parents who are currently very ill. At 7:15 this morning, Andrew, the technician, gave my husband a call and said he would be here at 8:00. (This was the 4th of July holiday). Our family cannot express how satisfied we are with Andrew’s professionalism, meticulousness, detail orientation, honesty, and thoroughness. It was 110 degrees in our attack and he worked diligently to replace the fan that was broken. Then, before he left, he looked at our thermostat, and whomever put it in did not program it to run both compressors of our a/c. Andrew fixed this issue within 5 minutes. He said that our electric bill should go down drastically.He came out once before for our bi-annual system cleaning and found an issue that he corrected, because the guy before him did not do the job properly. We were not charged.As long as he is with this company, we will not go anywhere else. He is a true asset, and the world should have more service technicians like him. I have used Gulf Coast Air Systems for many years. I have tried other companies and have always come back to Gulf Coast Air. They have installed and maintained 4 AC units. I used them for my annual service because they do what they say and should do when servicing the units. Luke was very personable and professional performing a complete service. I am very satisfied with Luke’s performance and he is a positive reflection on Gulf Coast Air Systems.
I came home after work and the house was warm, but both inside and outside units were running. I called Gulf Coast and talked to Charlene about getting someone out there. All techs were busy, but she told me she would see what she could do. She called me back 10 minutes later and had Technician Matt Moore come out. He diagnosed the problem right away and had me up and running. Matt was very professional as are the other techs who do my maint. Unlike other companies i have dealt with in the past, Gulf coast did not and does not try to sell you extra parts or tell you things that are not true to boost sales. another company might of told me i needed a new compressor instead of just a capacitor. Kennith was here bright and early. Mentioned I had moved here in October. He showed me where all my filters were located did his work assured me everything was fine. He is friendly and very helpful. Did a nice job. He is a compliment to your company.

He also reassured me he would make sure to follow up first thing in the morning to get the parts ordered and get my system up and running soon. He’s quite the gentleman, and very polite !

I have used this company for over 25 years. They never fail to deliver timely and quality service. Kenneth has serviced my AC unit personally for the last several years. He is always on time, friendly and professional. I highly recommend him and this company for service, repair or replacement of your AC unit.
Called GCAS for a one time clean. GCAS installed my Trane system about 8-9 years ago and the system has worked very well. Tech Luke arrived in lousy weather and immediately took care of the outside cleaning of the system. Luke then completed a check and cleaning of the system inside. Nice young man. Very efficient and cordial. No complaints as of this time and will use GCAS in the future for any issues which arise.
Great service. On time. Called ahead. Thorough, efficient and left our premise neat and clean. We have been GCAS customers since 2009 and have been pleased each time. Luke was a pleasure to do business with.
We have used Gulf Coast since we moved to Tampa 15 years ago and have always been very satisfied. I would recommend their maintenance contract for great service and peace of mind. Luke, our technician, was prompt and courteous. I can’t imagaine living in Florida and not having Gulf Coast to care for our heating and cooling needs.

On a Sunday with T.S.storm Colin brewing Matt came out right away and replaced a bad fan motor before the rain hit. Very polite and professional . Job well done Matt.
He called just minutes before arrival, introduced himself and asked where the units were located. Explained each step of service. made sure everything was cleaned up and the area was clean. We will miss Fritz after all these years but Luke is a fantastic representative for your company.
Matt was informative and considerate about what time he would arrive and careful not to damage anything inside because he had to go upstairs to the roof. The service was excellent and I was very happy he was able to do the repair without any delay. I have been a satisfied customer of Gulf Coast Air Systems for years!!

This weekend had a problem with our Air Conditioner, so called Gulf Coast Air early Saturday morning. Within an hour Matt Moore came, did a quick assessment, immdiately identified the issue, and repaired/replaced the burned out fan motor. Friendly, knowledgeable, and no attempt to “upsell” us. I asked about getting a more up-to-date thermostat, and he was able to immediately quote a price, make the switch. Everything about the experience (other than having had the problem in the first place, which is not the companies fault!) was excellent. Thanks for a job well done, plan to use you again in the future.
Gulf Coast Air Systems provides exemplary service. I’ve used them for more than a decade. The stand behind the systems they install, and all their personnel are friendly and professional.I just got a new system installed, and after a day there was a bit of a problem with it. I had their “emergency” on-call technician, Mike Hackett, Jr., come out to look at it. He asked me two questions and knew what the problem was (actually, I think he knew what the problem was before he arrived, just from our phone conversation!). Too much coolant/pressure in the system. Fixed it less than an hour. Boom. Friendly, professional, not in a hurry, seemed happy to help, even though it was 8:00 at night. Thanks!

Dear Bob,Your company just saved me almost $8000. But, even better than that… I have found an honest, competent outfit which I can rely on for my A/C service needs.My A/C system was leaking badly and I called another company (prominent in the Yellow Pages) for diagnosis and resolution. When all was said and done, their options were either 1.) Continue using a bucket to catch the water or 2.) Purchase a new A/C system. I opted for option 2.Thinking this odd, a friend recommended that I call Gulf Coast.On the day I was scheduled for the new A/C install, Mr. John Watson of Gulf Coast made a service call to my home. He promptly discovered the issue (which was simple and should have been taken care of by the previous company). He clearly explained the problem to me and discussed resolution, maintenance, and service. He was personable, honest, professional, and competent, which I am sure reflects your company as a whole.I was able to cancel the A/C install and learn a few lessons. First, always get a second opinion. Second, always call Gulf Coast!I will definitely recommend your company to anyone. Feel free to contact me if you need references or a testimonial. To the owner(s) of the company,Recently I had your company change out the HVAC system in my home. I want to make you aware (but I bet you already know!) the team of men that did the job is fantastic! Day one of the job saw Don, Lou, and a third fellow that proved he is valuable in figuring out a minor glitch with the wiring of the new unit. Day two was just Don and Lou. All three of these gentlemen were friendly, competent, and clean. They constantly kept the work area picked up and both days left the job site better than they found it. Don did an A+ job in keeping me posted throughout the process of what was going on.I had thrown a little curve on the job which required an engineer to figure out what to do with two additional air return lines. He did so in an efficient and friendly manner. He explained his idea to me and the other three and it turned out to be a perfect solution. I am impressed to say the least.The equipment came highly recommended to me and I have the highest confidence in its reputation. But the equipment is only as good as the installers. The installers pointed out deficiencies in the old installation, such as too many bends in the air flow (which they fixed).In the end, I have the following points to make: your installers have “the right stuff” of personality, workmanship, talent, and pride to do great work. Your engineer is brilliant, the equipment is the best, and finally, even thought it appeared to me that your company went beyond what I expected from you, an attempt to bump me on price did not happen. That is very classy.I feel happy, content, satisfied, and ready to face summer with no worries! Thanks again for a great team! Last but not least, it all began with Sean Bunch. To whom it may concern,On Sunday, June 3rd , we had a big problem with our AC. After calling and calling several companies in the phone book, I was never able to speak to an actual person. Finally, I called Gulf Coast and was able to get ahold of one of your servicemen, and he came right out.My husband had just gotten home from a 2 month stay in a hospital in Gainsville, and he was still connected to IV’s.Our problem was a broken fan motor, and our serviceman Todd tried everything… even a universal fan motor, but it would not fit. I truly could see the concern and feeling of wanting to help in him, but it was out of his hands. We made it the night with fans from the neighbors and the next day, Todd came out as soon as the part arrived. He put it in Monday AM. Matt came to our Land O Lakes house around 4:45 to see if he could get our system back up and running. I’m sure we don’t need to tell YOU the significance of having A/C. But it’s worth mentioning how your business can positively impact an entire family. Honestly, when we saw the Gulf Coast Air System van pull up, we were relieved…and happily surprised. We knew the gentleman didn’t have to take the call. We knew that if it were past 5 o’clock we’d be dealing with a whole different situation. We just wanted to let you know how happy we are with the new system you put in our condo last year. It was installed in October of 2007, so we really didn’t have a chance to see how well it would cool in the summer. Now that we are through most of the summer, we’ve found that our house has not only stayed nice and cool, but that our electric bills have dropped significantly – from 62 kwj/day last June to 43 kwh/day this June. This is about 30% less!!!Even more significant is that since I’ve been working at home through the summer, the A/C has been running all day, whereas last year at this time, we always turned the temperature up when we left for work in the morning. Also, since I’ve been pregnant all summer, we have been keeping it set on (are you sitting down?) 69 degrees! Our bills are still lower than last year.Our old heat pump system was less than 5 years old, but it was a “builders special”. A lizard got in the compressor and burned it up. Rather than replace the part on a low quality appliance, we decided to upgrade our whole system, and we are SO GLAD WE DID! The technicians and installers did a great job – thanks to them it is operating at its optimum capacity and efficiency. They were also able to lower the airflow in our future baby’s room to keep it from getting too cold.We would be happy to give a personal referral to anyone considering using Gulf Coast – feel free to show them our electric bill or give out our e-mail address.
